Web registration is no longer required. To join, simply login to the shard with a new account name and password.
Joining the shard implies acceptance of the following terms and conditions:

- Non-consensual player interactions are legal and part of normal gameplay, however exploiting is not acceptable.

An Ultima Online client is required. The recommended version for use with this shard is version 5.0.2g. You can use any one of the following three methods to connect to the server, though Razor is the recommended method:
- Load Client: 2D Client (Auto-Detect)
- Check the "Patch client encryption" option (optional).
- Server: uoshard.unreal.us
- Port: 2593
- Under Profile click 'New'. Select "default", click Okay.
- Click Okay to start UO.
- Change the login server lines to:
- LoginServer=uoshard.unreal.us,2593

If it's not already installed, install Microsoft .NET 1.1, available here.
You can download the Mondain's Legacy client via the above link and patch it to version 5.0.2g.
Install Razor and run from the desktop icon (see settings above).
Some recommended setting changes in Razor:
Options:
Set "Show Names of New/Incoming Corpses".
More Options:
Set "Object delay" to 500ms.
Enable "Use Pre-AOS Status Window".
For a nice title bar display you can change Razor's default display to something like this:
